  from Ellen book of Family Records the following: John R Winder, who, was a captain in the Nauvoo Legion, Was left on guard with 50 men at the head of Echo canyon during the fall and winter of 1857. He later became a member of the First Presidency and counselor to President Joseph F. Smith marriage Roy G. Pack and Ellen Stark in the Salt Lake Temple. In the District court of the third judicial District for Salt Lake County, State of Utah. Hearing before court, with out a Jury on 31 March 1931 Ellen with her Attorney Benjamin Spence, for the dissolution of the contract of Marriage, and the bonds of matrimny that now exist between Ellen and Roy G. Pack. done in open court 31 of March 1931 Ellen entitled to care, custody and control of the minor hildren. Lillian age 15 Ramona age 12. With consent of your former husband, Roy Greenleaf Pack. I cancelled the temple sealing between Ellen and Roy, WHich Sealing ordinance was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple 26 Jun 1907. Sign H.J. Grant.
